Choose execution surfaces
The workspace Targets tab lists the local machine, enabled Fleet browser profiles, and configured VM targets that the current app-server can offer. Check the targets you want available for that workspace. In New Research, choose from the allowed targets; unavailable or unready machines cannot start work.
A target is an execution destination, not an authorization grant. The workspace's recorded research scope still applies. A local run has your current host privileges; SSH, VM, browser, and remote app-server paths use their own operator-managed boundaries.
- Configure the machine or browser in Fleet first.
- Open the workspace Targets tab and enable the destinations you intend to use.
- Review the chosen destination in New Research before starting.
