Workspace Guidance
The Workspace Guidance editor reads and writes the primary workspace's AGENTS.md. Use it for stable instructions such as testing boundaries, evidence standards, preferred tools, repository layout, and escalation points. New research sessions receive workspace instructions from the host in addition to the selected prompt template.
The instruction loader also recognizes AGENTS.override.md or AGENTS.md along a project directory path, with a configured size cap. Keep guidance concise and review what files are in the actual workspace tree. It is not a substitute for the recorded authorization boundary or the Rules tab.
- Open Workspace → Settings → Workspace Guidance.
- Write short, specific rules and preview the Markdown.
- Save, then start a new session so it captures the updated instructions.
