Start a session
Select a workspace and choose New Research. Enter the question or outcome in the composer, select an available provider and model, and choose the local machine or an allowed Fleet target. The New Research settings menu controls Goal Mode, Add Context, and Repeat. The composer also exposes the session permission mode and collaboration choices.
A session captures its workspace context, authorized boundary, provider selection, and prompt when it starts. Be specific about the question and expected evidence. Keep a separate workspace for a separate authorization boundary.
- Open the workspace in the sidebar and choose New Research.
- Write a bounded objective and review the selected model, target, and permissions.
- Start the session; follow live commentary and open detailed tool events when you need provenance.
- Send a follow-up to steer the active session, or return later to inspect its recorded history.

The session view combines live commentary, trace events, tool details, context and usage indicators, and a side panel for workspace memory, findings, runbooks, reports, subagents, and browser contexts. Older history can be loaded when available. Stop or steer a running session from its controls; an archived session can be restored from Settings → Archives.
A final answer is a summary of the work. For a vulnerability conclusion, open the linked evidence and verifier output before treating it as confirmed.
