Current state
The iOS application is developed in a separate repository and is not available for download on the iOS App Store. Do not treat the Desktop download or the source installer as an iPhone app installer.
The current iOS companion implementation can capture user-selected iPhone screen content and stream transient frames to Desktop through a USB tunnel. It also has remote settings for a Tailscale host and a read-only Research view: it lists remote workspaces and can search and inspect workspace memories. Other workspace views in that companion remain initial skeletons. The full research runtime is hosted by app-server, not on the phone.
For developers
The separate iOS project requires Xcode and a connected supported iPhone for local builds. The screen-capture picker grants consent on the device. A remote host must be configured and reachable before the read-only Research view can load data. This is development functionality, not a public mobile release.
